School resumes after the Winter vacation for students on Tuesday 16th of July. Teachers return the day before to engage in professional learning. The staff of Mayfield East Public School will be examining:
- the new English K-10 syllabus,
- learning about local Awabakal stories
- learning about the importance of well-structured physical education activities through the school's partnership with The University of Newcastle
- understaning new departmental policy regarding student absences
