Our Junior Tap Dance Troupe are taught by Mrs Auckett. She choreographs all of their routines. At the moment, they have been working towards creating an audition tape in order to perform at the Hunter Dance Festival. The audition tape is below.
The Junior Tap Troupe rehearse during lunchtime on Thursdays.
The Senior Tap Dance Troupe are taught by Mr Harrison and practise every Thursday morning before school.
The primary choir at Mayfield East is conducted by Mrs Hipwell and assisted by Miss Black. The choir practises every Tuesday morning before school at 8:15am.
Students are able to learn the keyboard at Mayfield East. A local community member, Jennifer, teaches the students on Thursdays during school hours.
Our students were reporters for the NBN News!
Being part of such a fabulous school not only brings many exciting experiences and opportunities for our students and their families, it also means that we get to share these with the rest of the world. Follow our stories and successes that have been covered by the media.
